Zusammenfassung:A recoverable poly(vinylpyrrolidone) supported cupric acetate catalyst was prepared and characterized by FT-IR, XPS, ESR, UV-DRS and AAS techniques. The catalyst was used in the sulfimidation of sulfides in the presence of PhI = NTs [( N-( p-tolylsulfonyl)imino]phenyliodinane to obtain the corresponding sulfimides in good to excellent yields. The catalyst was used for four cycles with consistent activity.
