Study of Fabric Assemblies used by Combat Paratrooper in the Cone Calorimeter
This work investigates the effect of surface fabric on the burning behavior of fabric assembly used by paratroopers when exposed to a heat flux of 50 kW/m2 in a cone calorimeter. Three types of surface fabrics and two types of insulative materials are considered in the present study. The surface fab...

Zusammenfassung: | This work investigates the effect of surface fabric on the burning behavior of fabric assembly used by paratroopers when exposed to a heat flux of 50 kW/m2 in a cone calorimeter. Three types of surface fabrics and two types of insulative materials are considered in the present study. The surface fabric, contrary to expectations, has a marginal effect on the burning behavior of fabric assemblies as indicated by peak heat release rate, average heat release rate, and total heat release. |
