Zusammenfassung:THE doctrine of Christian holiness is of the greatest importance, as it stands inseparably connected with the happiness of man, the glory of Christ, and the honour of God: it holds a prominent place in the holy Scriptures; and is presented to the attention of the reader in a great variety of forms. In the paragraph, from which the text is selected, the Apostle states the nature, and enforces the practice, of the duties of husbands and wives: and although these subjects were of a relative and practical bearing, yet he did not deem it impertinent to introduce that great topic which is so convincing in its character, powerful in its attractions, and elevating in its influence,-THE LOVE OF CHRIST.
