Zusammenfassung:Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can be challenging to treat. Biologics and targeted small molecules have become an increasingly popular area of investigation for therapeutic development for moderate-to-severe HS, though only three biologics—adalimumab, secukinumab, and bimekizumab—have received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or European Medicines Evaluation Agency approval for treating HS. Promising agents under investigation are targeting interleukin 17A/F, JAK/STAT pathway, interleukin 36, interleukin 1, and more.
