Zusammenfassung:	Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) has now become an established tool in the diagnostic process for patients suspected of coronary artery disease. In light of rapid technological development, CCTA has evolved into an imaging modality providing both anatomical and functional information to guide patient management. In this article, we describe the role of cardiac CT in assessing atherosclerotic plaque, chest pain evaluation, cardiovascular risk stratification, planning and guiding coronary intervention, as well as structural heart diseases.
