Zusammenfassung:Decarboxylative cross-couplings have emerged as significant C–C and C-heteroatom bond forming transformations owing to the use of stable and cost-effective carboxylic acids as the coupling partners in the reactions. Silver, a less toxic noble metal, is a widely accepted transition metal in decarboxylative cross-couplings. This review primarily focuses on various silver-catalysed decarboxylative cross-couplings such as C–S, C–P, C–O, C–H, C–I, and C–C bond forming reactions and includes wide reaction types like annulation, acylation, proto decarboxylation, iodination, oxidative decarboxylation, esterification and other cross-couplings. This review highlights the progress in the decarboxylation of carboxylic acids via silver catalysis from 2009 until present.
