Zusammenfassung: | It becomes necessary for reinforcement concrete columns under axial load at any way that they are capable to of inelastic response without appreciably losing load-carrying capacity. One of the ideal ways to ensure such ductility in columns is by specifying the amount, spacing and the configuration of transverse reinforcement in critical regions of columns. This study had been conducted to investigate description of some parameters affecting the performance of UHSC columns under combined axial load and lateral force. This result is provided that ductility is affected largely by the level of axial load applied to the columns. Therefore, when the level of axial load is above 50 percent of column axial load capacity and concrete compressive strength is approximately 100 MPa, amount of transverse reinforcement is required over 30 percent larger than specified in the seismic provisions of ACI 318-05 code for ductile behavior. |
