Thermal behavior in relation to different bindings ofalumina based castables from 20 to 1000DG
Thermal behavior and physical, properties of castables during curing and drying-out are associated with their binding system. In this work, five alumina based (Al(2) O(3) > 87% ) castables with different combinations of binding materials, i. e., (J) CA cement ( CA) + Reactive alumina (RA) +H(2)O;...

Zusammenfassung: | Thermal behavior and physical, properties of castables during curing and drying-out are associated with their binding system. In this work, five alumina based (Al(2) O(3) > 87% ) castables with different combinations of binding materials, i. e., (J) CA cement ( CA) + Reactive alumina (RA) +H(2)O; (2) high level addition of CA + Microsilica (MS) +H(2)O; (3)low level addition of CA + MS + H(2)O; (4) MS + Hydratable alumina + H(2)O and (5) MS + Magnesia + H(2)O, respectively, have been investigated on the flowabilily and thermalbehavior during curing at room temperature, drying at 110 deg C and healing from 200V to 1000X at an interval of 100 deg C, in terms ofwater addition, vibration flow value, porosity, dehydration,, explosion resistance, cold and hot bending strengths.' Differencesin dehydrating behavior and the mentioned properties have been revealed and correlated to the binding system. |
