Zusammenfassung: | Experimental researches on the transient performanceof a D6114 diesel engine in low engine speed range were conducted when an original turbo charger and a three phase sequential turbo charging (STC) system were used. The transient boosting pressure after the inter cooler and the transient smoke emission during the engine's rapid acceleration and rapid deceleration were measured. It was found that, the smoke emission was deteriorated during the rapid acceleration when using the original turbo charging system or the STC system.However, when the STC system was used, the smoke emission of the engine is lower than that when the original turbo charger wasused during the same rapid acceleration. When the original turbo charger was used and the engine was at low speed, at the beginning of the acceleration or deceleration, there is a violent pressure change. When the STC system was used, there is no violent pressure change occurs during the acceleration and the deceleration. The STC system can reduce the smoke emission during the engine's rapid acceleration and smooth the pressure change during the speed changing process. |
