Zusammenfassung:Laser Supported Detonation (LSD) waves were driven by a line-focusing laser beam in a 2 dimensional space and in a quasi-1 dimensional space bounded by a wedge nozzle. The LSD termination threshold intensity and the blast wave energy were estimated from the series of shadow-graphs visualizing the wave expansion. As a result, threshold laser intensity for the 2D and the quasi-1D cases was 34 GW/m2 and 17 GW/m2, respectively. This indicates that the lateral expansion of a blast wave to the surrounding space largely influences on the LSD termination condition. In addition, the blast wave energy was found a function of only the duration when LSD was preserved.
