Zusammenfassung: | We have developed stand alone web-book modules for teaching an interdisciplinary sophomore-level course titled: 'Frontiers of Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials.' This course is aimed at science and engineering students and is team-taught by a chemist, a mechanical engineer and a physicist. Our currently developed web-book modules include: Introduction to Nanotechnology; Scaling Laws; Quantum dots, wires, and wells; Characterization tools for nanomaterials; Magnetic nanomaterials and spintronics; Inorganic/organic nanocomposites; and Bionanomaterials. We believe that our modules could be used in other introductory courses on nanotechnology, as well as in traditional introductory science or engineering courses. |
