Zusammenfassung: | The paper highlight the validation of an original algorithm proposed by the author for an ultra-high-speed line distance protection. The algorithm is based on the equation associated to the R-L fault circuit, whose solution is obtainedusing the combined use of Kalman filter and recursive minimum mean-square estimation.A short description of the proposed technique is firstly described in the paper. Lastly, theresults of a simulation campaign performed to validate the implemented algorithm on a 150 kVsub-transmission line are presented and discussed. As confirmed by the simulations, the implemented algorithm shows great robustness and ultra-high-speed in the fault localization in both 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems. The proposed algorithm can be promptly introduced in the presently used techniques of distance protection since no changes in the hardware of the measuring system are required. |
