Zusammenfassung:We studied the magnetic entropy change (Δ S m) of the perovskite manganites La 0.7Ca 0.3− x Sr x MnO 3 ( x = 0.12 , 0.135, and 0.15). Effect of orthorhombic–rhombohedral structural transition, coinciding with the ferromagnetic–paramagnetic (FM–PM) phase transition, on the Δ S m is observed. The structural transition causes the double-step decrease of magnetization with temperature and widens the magnetic transition, leading to splitting of Δ S m into two peaks and also decrease in the overall values of Δ S m.
