Zusammenfassung:STORET sediment, fish tissue, and groundwater data for 43 chemical compounds were sorted by U.S. census division and ranked according to the mean concentration of each compound. Statistical analyses indicated variations in the levels of environmental contamination among regions. The West North Central, South Atlantic, and East South Central regions appear to be more contaminated than other regions of the country.
