FIRE STATISTICS ANALYSIS RELATION BETWEEN FIRE DAMAGE SCALE AND FACTORS OF RESIDENT'S HUMAN AND MATERIAL OF DWELLING

It is very important that residents of domestic dwellings understand the risks and consequences of fire in their home. If the resident is aware of these risks and consequences, and in particular the effect of their own actions, then they will be better able to act responsibly in ensuring fire safety. To ensure that this awareness exists, a mechanism is needed by which the building designer can effectively communicate these risks, consequences and thus responsibilities, with the resident. In this report, a fire statistics analysis is used to determine a factor which represents the extent and scale of material fire damage.
