Body Force on a Magnetizable Medium

Magnetic body force was studied for magnetizable media experimentally and theoretically. Both experimental results and theoretical calculations clearly distinguish several theoretical models for electromagnetic body forces and confirm that Kelvin body force is the correct formula. From our analytical calculation, we found that mistakenly including the self-exerting force is responsible for other models that disagree with experiment and this error is probably intrinsic to hydrodynamic theory.
