Zusammenfassung:A model in which grains are represented as regular polygons with arcs as sides was used in a recent publication to obtain a growth rule that differs from the von Neumann–Mullins relationship. A comment by Morawiec explains how the von Neumann–Mullins relationship can be derived by means of the same model. However, a different set of conditions was used. Problematic aspects were not analyzed and discussed, as shown here.
