Zusammenfassung: | Fluoropolymers have been used for several applications including semiconductors, medical supplies, and foods. There are many problems which are caused by nonmetal impurities including halogens, sulfur and phosphorus in fluoropolymers. As a result, it has been necessary to measure a trace of nonmetal impurities. However, there are no methods which measure a trace of nonmetal impurities in fluoropolymers exactly in the present. To solve the problem, the analysis method has been investigated for measuring a trace of iodine which often remains in a production process. In this new method, fluoropolymers are diluted by fluoroorganic solvent and injected to ICP-AES. This method makes it possible to measure a trace of iodine in fluoropolymers whose concentration is sub-ppm level. |
