Zusammenfassung:Residue from chromium ores has long been used as fill material on dumps, wetlands, highway construction, and in neighborhoods. The long-term effect of chromium in soils is now known to be hazardous, to cause soil instability, and to destroy concrete. Five management remediation plans are examined: chemical treatment, mechanical encapsulation, hydraulic lagooning, maintain status quo, and mining and thermal processing.
