Zusammenfassung:We present analytical solutions for thermal strain energy in ceramic-to-metal joints where the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of the interlayer is significantly larger than that of the metal and the ceramic. We consider plasticity and conclude that the relative CTE difference between the three materials and yield stress of the interlayer determine the thermal strain energy.
