Zusammenfassung: | The textile industry is one of the top 10 water consuming industries with much being used in chemical treatment of textiles. Effluent treatment for pollution control is important due to the color and chemistry of the dyes and additives used during dyeing. Textile effluents vary in composition, and, thus, numerous approaches have been developed for treatment of dyeing waste water with several steps being combined to obtain effluent suitable for discharge. For example, treatment of typical dyes used on synthetic fibers entails four stages: calcium chloride reaction, electrolysis, activated carbon decolorization, and filtration. |
