Zusammenfassung: | An efficient semiorganic nonlinear optical crystal
l-Glutamic acid hydrochloride has been grown by using the novel uniaxial crystal growth method of Sankaranarayanan and Ramasamy with a slight modification in the experimental setup. This method allows the crystals to grow in one specified axis with well developed facet. The grown crystal has a cylindrical morphology with good optical quality. The grown crystal has been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and UV–Vis–NIR analyses. The NLO efficiency of the crystal has been confirmed by using the Kurtz powder technique. |
