Zusammenfassung:Raman scattering investigations of surfactant solubilized SWCNTs under hydrostatic pressure were performed. The wave number dependence on pressure for the tangential bands was observed to be discontinuous at 2 GPa, with change of slope for higher pressures. This change coincides with the calculated critical pressure for collapse of the tubes. Therefore, it could be considered as indicative of deformation of the tube along the radial direction.
