Hydration of tricalcium aluminate (C3A) in the presence and absence of gypsum : studied by Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction
Raman spectroscopy has been used to characterise hydrating tricalcium aluminate pastes. In-situ analysis, in real-time, has been achieved, allowing the very early stages of hydration to be followed.
