Zusammenfassung:The Source Code Control System (SCCS) is a system for controlling changes to files of text (typically, the source code and documentation of software systems). It is an integral part of a software development and maintenance system known as the Programmer's Workbench (PWB). SCCS has itself undergone considerable change. There have been nine major versions of SCCS. This paper describes the facilities provided by SCCS, and the design changes that were made to SCCS in order to provide a useful and flexible environment in which to conduct the programming process.
