Zusammenfassung: | Developing an e-math learning system for short answer type questions is known to be difficult. The reason for this is that two functions might not be equal even if they are equal for infinitely many points. In this paper, we develop a method which enables us to say that two functions are equal if they are equal at a certain point. We classify the problems in Calculus textbook into three different categories. Then we develop a method using production rule that generates problems automatically. Furthermore, using this one point test method, we are able to generate a correct answer by using numerical calculation instead of computer algebra for an automatically generated question. Putting these two methods together, we create a completely new e-learning system for short answer type questions. |
