Zusammenfassung:The competitors to CP titanium in this application21 are 316 stain less steel, Co-28Cr-6Mo and Ti-6A1-4V alloys, CP tantalum, und alumina. While CP titanium is chemically and hiologically more compatible with human Huids and tissues, its strength is less than half that of the Ti-6A1-4V alloy. For this reason, it is not used for prostheses that must bear heavy loads, such as leg implants.
