Zusammenfassung:In a large academic medical center, processes for ordering and receiving biomarker testing to inform cancer treatment in non–small cell lung cancer varied by whether tests were conducted internally or externally. Lack of standardization in biomarker testing processes, despite the availability of electronic health record solutions, contributes to clinician burden and may increase risk of delays in receipt of testing results; therefore, efforts to streamline ordering processes may benefit health systems.
