Synthesis of hexagonal tungsten carbide in tungsten–sodium and supercritical carbon dioxide system
Hexagonal tungsten carbide was synthesized in the thermal system of tungsten–sodium and supercritical carbon dioxide at moderate temperature (600 °C). The synthesized samples were characterized by XRD and SEM. The possible conversion mechanism from tungsten to tungsten carbide was discussed also.
