Zusammenfassung:Results on the torque associated with the ac field induced rotation of amorphous wires are presented. Torque was investigated by means of weight carried by rotating amorphous wires with different lengths. Effect of annealing has been also studied. Experiments have shown that sample length is the key parameter in the application of this effect in micromotors. Results are explained in terms of magnetic energy transferred into kinetic energy for the wire rotation.
