Zusammenfassung:Three-dimensional micro-helical or micro-coiled structures are important commercial materials being potential candidates for absorbers of electromagnetic waves or cosmic rays, for tunable micro-devices, micro sensors, micro actuators, hydrogen storage materials, electrode materials etc. In the recent years work has focused on the synthesis of 3D-helical/spring structures and also to investigate their growth mechanism [1]. Among various preparation processes, the CVD process is the process with the most potential for the large scale preparation of carbon coils. So the preparation of carbon micro-coils (CMCs) has been mainly carried out using various CVD reaction systems, mainly using Fe-group metal catalysts in presence of either magnetic/microwave field and using acetylene/ethylene/ methane as carbon sources [2-6].
