Zusammenfassung:The evolution of voids around solid inclusions is the aim of the present article. Coupled volume of fluids technique finite elements analysis is used for the numerical solution of the problem. The method can accurately predict the size of the stagnant of voids. This analysis is useful for the investigation of the mechanism of ductile fracture that is important to predict the workability of engineering materials in metal forming process. The domain of analysis contains a thick plate with a single cylindrical witch is subjected to biaxial compressive loads. The matrix is assumed as a viscous solid, e.g. wax material of certain density and viscosity, while the cylindrical inclusion is made from glass. As the fluid is flowing toward the area of the cylindrical inclusion a layer of voids is growing from the pole toward the equator of the inclusion. At the equatorial zone the layer of the voids is large and depends on the rate flowing of the fluid. The numerical computation of the layer of voids around the inclusion has been checked using experimental data from the literature.
