Growing cannabis use among Multiple Sclerosis adults with chronic pain; An analysis from the United States

•Between 2011 and 2020, 4361(3.22 %) MS patients with chronic pain used cannabis.•Cannabis use in MS patients with chronic pain rose from 1.55 % to 4.04 % up to 2017.•From 2017 to 2020, the prevalence of cannabis dropped to 3.30 %.•Cannabis users were older in 2020 than in 2011.
