Zusammenfassung:The segregation of alloying components and impurities to the surface and to the Al 2O 3/alloy interface after high temperature oxidation is examined and compared in stoichiometric and Ni-rich NiAl alloys with and without Pt addition. The relationship between surface/interface segregation and the role of Pt in enhancing Al 2O 3 scale adhesion is discussed.
