Zusammenfassung:Ternary nitrides, Li 3XN 2 (X = B, Al, Ga), were prepared at 973–1073 K in N 2 by solid state reaction of Li 3N and XN. Among these three compounds, Li 3GaN 2 reacted with H 2 gas at 573 K and changed into a mixture of LiNH 2, LiH, and GaN. The amount of hydrogen reacted was 3.4 mass% to the amount of Li 3GaN 2, and 1.7 mass% of hydrogen was released under a reduced pressure.
