summarize the current epidemiologic data. We would like to highlight a concern regarding Figure 2 in their article, in which Taiwan was incorrectly labeled as a high-prevalence area for HDV infection. Recent data from a local community hospital in Taiwan have shown that during the period from 2018 through 2019, only approximately 1% of persons with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection were positive for antibodies against HDV.
