With Hope as Our Armor

Months later, that hope, and that perseverance, was tested to the extreme by a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic whose effects on mental health stand to this day. Over a year later, my patient decided to terminate therapy as she felt confident to do what she had wished for, to move out of state, closer to friends and family. The clinical director of my hospital at the start of the pandemic would send near-daily emails with updates and encouragement.
