Zusammenfassung:Linepipes with longitudinal seam failed duri overload test. The reason for the failure was the geometrical imperfection of the weld. Fracture mechanical tests were carried out in the base material, the heat affected zone and the weld at static and cyclic load. The assessment of the pipes according the SINTAP-Procedure shows fitness for service at lower pressure.
