Zusammenfassung:The shape memory properties of a cast Ti-Ni shape memory alloy (SMA) were studied. Base materials were prepared as a melting method ingot and a self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) ingot. The composition of these ingots was Ti-50.5 at%Ni. Each ingot was cast into a rod shape by centrifugal casting. The heat-treatment conditions were 773 K for -1.8 ks and 873 K for -3.6 ks. Shape memory characteristics were measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and a tensile test. All cast specimens have good shape memory characteristics. According to DSC measurements, the specimens made by melting show gravity segregation.
