Experimental and kinetics study of NO absorption in mixed solutions of Fe(II)EDTA and (NH4)2SO3

was studied experimentally with a bubbling reactor at 20–50℃ and 1 atm to make clear the reaction kinetics. The absorption rates of NO absorption were derived based on chemical absorption theory. The results showed that the absorption rate of NO first increased and then decreased with the increase of pH, and reached the peak when pH was 7.5. The reaction of NO absorbed by Fe(II)EDTA solution is a pseudo-first-order reaction process. Second-order reaction rate constant

increased faintly within 20–50 ℃ at the concentration of Fe(II)EDTA range from 0.01 to 0.03 mol/L. The addition of (NH

can regenerate Fe(II)EDTA so that the absorption process can maintain a high NO absorption efficiency. Through experimental verification, within the range of error permitting, the theoretical value of the reaction rate accords well with the experimental value. |
