Zusammenfassung: | TlInTe2, an analog of III-VI semiconductors, has a chain structure with a body-centered tetragonal unit cell with a=8.38A and c=7.18A. The interest in the properties of TlSe-type compound semiconductors stems from the wide variety of energy levels and nonzero total angular momentum of some states of these compounds. The thermoelectric properties of TlIn1-xYbxTe2 (0.01 < x < 0.09) crystals are studied. The results indicate that the crystals possess high thermoelectric figures of merit in the range 500-700 K. |
