Zusammenfassung:The preparation of cadmium selenide via in situ formation of nanoparticles upon moderate heating of 7-membered alkeno-1,2,3-selenadiazole and CdX 2 (X=Cl or CH 3COO) in ethylene glycol, has been monitored by absorption spectroscopy. The bulk CdSe powder precipitated at a temperature >100 °C has been characterized by X-ray diffraction, reflectance measurement and SEM/EDAX analysis. XRD measurements indicate that the uptake of released selenium from selenadiazole for CdSe formation is full and no peaks due to selenium alone are observed.
