Zusammenfassung: | The surface modification of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) by using low-pressure CF
4 plasma in a roll-to-roll double-sided treated system is investigated in this paper. The surface properties of the modified polymers are characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and water contact angle. Treated for a longer time and higher RF power (12 min, 600 W), the wettability of the PET surface shows two opposite extremes. The contact angle on one side of the PET film is super-hydrophilic, 7.56°, and the other side is hydrophobic, 108.63°. Furthermore, the modified PET surface dynamics is also considered and discussed after dipping the materials into different hydroxyl ion concentrations. |
