The strength of TIMETAL Exhaust XT at room temperature is significantly higher than CP titanium grade 2, which is primarily from the addition of iron and silicon. Its fine grain structure is considered to be an additional contributor to its high strength through the Hall-Petch relation. Its superior strength over CP titanium extends to elevated temperatures. |
