Zusammenfassung:The product model of magnetic hysteresis was proposed as a modification of the Preisach model in order to eliminate some shortages of the traditional model. The main novelty of the product model was the emphasis on the differential susceptibility of magnetization curves, namely the introduction of an output-dependent limiting multiplier function. With this the magnetization curve can be described with an indirect mathematical function, whose argument contains the terms of the reversible and the hysteretic irreversible contribution of the magnetization. Experimental data suggest that the Brillouin function is a proper envelope of the indirect function. Fitting procedures and examples of evaluation of experimental data are presented.
