Molding technology of high functional packaging film for freshness /long-term preservation

An article deals with barrier films, particularly the molding technology of nylon series of multilayer films. The article reports the market trend of high function films, production technologies of multilayer films, and gas permeation characteristics of multilayer films. There are two production processes for multilayer films: lamination from single layer films and coextrusion with multilayer dies developed by Mitsubishi. The multilayer dies include two types, multi-manifold and feed block. The former suitable for broad-line dies has good accuracy of various layer thickness, and the latter is easy to form multilayer and enables varied combinations of raw materials and layer ratios by exchange of laminating plugs.
