Zusammenfassung:The writers, appreciate the interest and views expressed in Saka's discussion of the paper "Design of Steel Frames Using Ant Colony Optimization." The basic criticism that a comparison of low-weight designs developed by using BS 5950 and AISCLRFD codes has merit; however, considerable similarities exist between the designs, using both codes for the three-bay, 24-story frame problem presented.
