Evaluation of the push-out bond strength of an adjustable fiberglass post system to an endodontically treated oval root canal

To evaluate the push-out bond strength of the adjustable fiberglass post system to dentin. Twenty maxillary canine roots were endodontically treated and divided into two groups (n=10): conventional fiberglass posts (CFPs) and with single adjustable post (SAP) system. Two slices of each third were su...

Zusammenfassung:To evaluate the push-out bond strength of the adjustable fiberglass post system to dentin. Twenty maxillary canine roots were endodontically treated and divided into two groups (n=10): conventional fiberglass posts (CFPs) and with single adjustable post (SAP) system. Two slices of each third were subjected to the push-out and failure pattern test and the most apical slice was subjected to analysis of the adhesive interface by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Data were analyzed by the three-way analysis of variance, Tukey, and Friedman tests, and linear regression (α=0.05). The results showed higher push-out bond strength in the initial time interval for SAP (10.3±5.3, p
