Effect of Doping on the Dielectric Properties of Cerium Oxide in the Microwave and Far-Infrared Frequency Range

Cerium oxide (ceria, CeO2) with a cubic fluorite structure is an attractive insulating material because of its chemical stability, high relative permittivity and close lattice match with silicon. The present paper reports the room temperature and, in some cases, the low-temperature dielectric proper...

Zusammenfassung:Cerium oxide (ceria, CeO2) with a cubic fluorite structure is an attractive insulating material because of its chemical stability, high relative permittivity and close lattice match with silicon. The present paper reports the room temperature and, in some cases, the low-temperature dielectric properties of pure and calcium- and titanium-doped CeO2 in the MW and far-infrared (IR) frequency range.
