Zusammenfassung: | The effects of CaF2 addition on the phase composition and electrical properties of 8 mol% yttria-stabilised zirconia (YSZ) were studied. Three samples were prepared, one doped with 10 mol% CaF2 and sintered at 1473 K, and the other two doped with 20 mol% CaF2 and sintered at 1473 and 1673 K, respectively. Single phase fluorite-type solid solution with cubic symmetry was seen for each sample. However, the F ion exists only in the sample doped with 20 mol% CaF2 and sintered at 1273 K. Electrical measurements showed that addition of CaF2 may enhance the ionic conductivity of the YSZ. 10 refs. |
